Tomorrow I get on a ferry to Vancouver where I get to take 3 buses to get to a bed & breakfast to stay overnight so I can actually be present for a 9 AM openhouse workshop at Think Tank, before taking another couple buses off to Capilano for their own animation openhouse. Then I get to take all those buses back.

Predictions: I'm going to get lost more than once, forget to pack something, lose at least one item, have to stay somewhere other than I had planned, and will probably be too worked up about the whole ordeal to take away much from any openhouse.

I hate traveling.

Update: It feels like I'd been carrying a sack of dog food through the whole trip and I think my spine rearranged itself as such. I did lose my way a couple times and ALMOST horribly so at one point, didn't really forget to pack anything and I don't think I lost anything.

The one thing I took away from it all is that even 3D animation is srs bsns and to be truly competitive in the field I'd likely need 3+ years of life drawing and classical animation first. I don't have that kind of wherewithal, patience, or funding.
